Morneta is the original name of the ancient Alqueria that already existed during the conquest of Mallorca by King Jaime I of Aragon in 1229. As it can be determined from the architectural vestiges existing in the buildings of the Finca, these could be dated along the XI century, from the independent kingdom of Mallorca (first Taifa -Year 1076). Also, in its environment are vestiges of Talayotic, Roman and Islamic cultures.

In 1953, Alfonso Vivo y Triay bought the property from Gual de Torrella family as a wedding present for his daughter Leonor Vivo i Squella.
